“Debt has increased to 90 per cent of GDP”/ Topalli attacks Basha: He added two villas in pandemic times

7 Dhjetor 2020, 07:49, English CNA

The pandemic caused by Covid-19, seems to be affecting the country?s economy.

The leader of the Movement for Change, Jozefina Topalli, has reacted with concern regarding the economic situation that the country is going through, stating that this problem adds to the problems of Albanian families in particular. Topalli sees an even gloomier picture of what awaits Albanians next year, when referring to the budget for 2021. ?The crisis brings the debt to 90 per cent. ?

This is an electoral budget, it stays away from the problems and pressures of economic life in general and family problems in particular?- she said.

According to the leader of the Movement for Change, the additional invoice in the portfolio of Albanian families, comes also because of the concessions that amount to 144 million dollars provided by the government. Topalli emphasizes that she is not against concessions, but strongly condemns the illegality that according to her, Prime Minister Rama has raised in the system in two governing mandates.

?Any overcoming in a society with 43 percent poverty is a lack of irresponsibility, which have turned the budget into a time mine?– said Topalli. She doesn?t spare even Lulzim Basha from the accusations either, calling selective his opposite over the concessions.

?The opposition should have spoken by names. When you avoid names and make the selection of oligarchs, you are incredible. And people have the right to ask how Basha becomes with 2 other villas in pandemic time?– she adds.

While blaming the Prime Minister Edi Rama and the left over the years for not managing the pandemic situation, he is also a little critical of the right-wing government, which he says didn?t invest enough in health and education./CNA.al.
