Incinerators scandal now and as a criterion in tenders

Incinerators are a PPP much accused by the media and the opposition of a very ?inflated? bill regarding waste processing. Allegations have often been raised, that there is still no incinerator in Tirana and Fier, while the one in Elbasan, contrary to what has been claimed, has worked very little and only a waste capsule has been made there, while the government has paid almost 22 million euros.

CNA.al is one of the media that has published dozens of documents and facts about these incinerators, where their owners have established partnerships with other companies with media owners and executives. CNA.al is bringing another fact!

After many, many investigations, we are showing the documents which emphasize that in a tender, one of the criteria set is that the company must have a contract with a licensed landfill. So if you are going to deal with the process of processing fertilizers in different fields, their transport and others, to do this you must have a license with ?Albtek Energy?, which is the incinerator of Elbasan, or that of Tirana and of Fier, which are already three landfills and companies who are licensed for this service by the Albanian government.

So incinerators don?t have enough money to receive directly from the government for their construction, they don?t have enough money they receive from private company for waste collection and processing, and they don?t have enough money they receive directly and indirectly from citizens? or municipalities?taxes.

Now other businesses that deal with garbage processing have to pay money, incinerator companies owned by Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri, two famous personalities, partners of the director of Top Channel, Ben Blushi and owner Vjollca Hoxha./CNA. al
