Luli Basha’s surprise: I was the prime minister, not Sali Berisha!

After the accusations of the last days regarding the issues of Kosovo, the leader of the New Republic, Lulzim Basha, appeared on Thursday evening in the show ?Real Story? of Sokol Ballës to be acquitted and to show his truth.

But, surprisingly, Basha said something else. Maybe no one believes him, but during the years 2005-2013, he was the prime minister and not Sali Berisha. So it was Luli Basha, who did all the good and bad things of yesterday?s Democratic Party government.
Luli Basha was not ashamed, when he emphasized that as Minister of Transport, he had personally built the National Road, while Edi Rama placed the beam.

First about Kosovo. When Sali Berisha said that Kosovo was the ?Polar Star? of Albania, Basha was still a teenager.
In fact, Luli Basha was a great failure in politics, and all starts exactly with the Nation Road. But if there is another failure, he has as Foreign Minister. He also claims that he worked for the recognition of Kosovo as a state. But in fact he signed a sea agreement with Greece, which was rejected by the Constitutional Court.

Secondly, Rruga e Kombit is a project-idea and a personal political investment of the government of Sali Berisha, a personal commitment of the latter. But that project was not properly managed. The costs were very high, while the fact is that Lulzim Basha left the ministry with the halfway road.
Then it was Sokol Olldashi who as Minister of Transport completed it as much as he could, and has already been given a concession to complete it. On the other hand, it is true that Rama placed the beam on that road, and Basha promises to remove it.
But Luli Basha must show hy he betrayed the protest of the residents of Kukës, and why at the same time his brother-in-law and the company ?Lanmark? that he owns, took its offices to the company that had received the concession of Rruga e Kombit, at the former Sheraton Hotel, in the center of Tirana.

Luli Basha further said that he had done everything for European integration. But he forgot to emphasize that Albania had a Minister of Integration, Majlinda Bregu, only to follow this process. So, Luli had nothing to do with integration, the task of the Foreign Minister was diplomacy.

Luli said that he was the one who brought Albania into NATO. But there is no Albanian who believes this! For joining NATO we must thank the US, and on the other hand the wise moves of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in the international arena, his connections, but without question also the results of the government, where Luli Basha was the most problematic due to the scandals he constantly produced.

Luli said his work led to the abolition of the visa regime with the EU.

In fact even this is a big lie. Lulzim Basha did not remove the visas, but Albania entered Schengen after meeting dozens of criteria. So for everything that Luli Basha says, he is lying! As he lies when he says that he once worked hard to guarantee order and security in Albania.

In fact, Albania was in the highest order and security during 2005-2007 when the institution was headed by Sokol Olldashi. While Lulzim Basha as Minister of Interior is responsible for 4 persons killed on the Boulevard on January 21, 2011./CNA.al
