Oil workers’strike/ Topalli “slaps” Rama: Don’t pretend to not see and hear them

4 Nëntor 2020, 16:25, English CNA

Former Speaker of Parliament and leader of the Movement for Change, Jozefina Topalli, has reacted to oil women workers, who have been on hunger strike for several days. Topalli states that these women are demanding their fundamental right, which is an obligation for the state.

She criticizes the Prime Minister Edi Rama for the attitudes that this later held, and that has not yet given a solution to their repeated situation.

?For many days, 10 women have started a hunger strike. They demand a fundamental right of their own. The reward for the work done is a right of theirs, and an obligation to be respected by the Albanian state. The Prime Minister of the country, cannot pretend to not see and listen them, and much less to set conditions.
Injustice against oil workers has only one origin which is corruption. The youth of the Movement for Change were there for support.

They need support. Violation of the rights of oil workers is a violation of human rights!?-writes the leader of the Movement for Change. Meanwhile, we recall that the oil workers have been on hunger strike for several weeks, as they seek to receive back wages./ CNA.al
