ChatGPT goes out of service for users worldwide

The artificial intelligence chatbot from OpenAI faced a global outage, leaving users unable to receive answers for a short period.

According to Downdetector, which tracks online service outages, the problem peaked around 12:44 PM IST, with over 500 reports in India alone.

Similar complaints flooded in from several other countries.

While the problem appears to have hit the website version hardest, many app users also reported being unable to access ChatGPT.

This is not the first time users have been blocked by ChatGPT recently.

The service also went down twice in July, affecting both casual users and professionals who rely on the site every day. Such outages highlight how dependent people have become on artificial intelligence tools and how disruptive even a brief glitch can feel. /CNA
