Long-awaited worldwide/ OpenAi launches GPT-5 today, the latest chatbox model

OpenAI has announced that it will launch the long-awaited GPT-5 today, the latest model of its popular artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT.

The new model has advanced typing capabilities, invents answers less often when it doesn't have the right information for a question, and better answers health-related questions by flagging potential medical concerns, according to the company.

GPT-5 has "agent" capabilities that it will use during code development, meaning it will be able to perform some tasks and make decisions without human intervention.

The updated model can create websites, apps and games, and can integrate with users' Google tools, such as Gmail and Google Calendar, OpenAI said./CNA
