OFFICIAL/ Zidane was expected, Fenerbahce introduces the new coach

Fenerbahçe has officially appointed Domenico Tedesco as the team's new coach, entrusting him with the leadership for the next two years.

He will replace José Mourinho, with whom the club parted ways after the elimination from the Champions League play-offs. Initially, the name of Zinedine Zidane was also mentioned for the bench, but in the end the leaders decided on the Italian technician.

Tedesco has signed a contract until the summer of 2027. The 39-year-old coach most recently managed the Belgium national team, and previously managed Leipzig, Spartak Moscow and Schalke.

This is an important step in his career, as he will be leading one of the most popular clubs in Turkey. Fenerbahçe aims to return to positive results with Tedesco and compete for the title.
