Innovation in Italy, cameras will be used on referees at Juventus-Inter

In the Juventus-Inter Serie A match, on September 13 at the "Allianz Stadium", "Refcam", a camera placed on the referee of the match, will be used for the first time in Italy.

The technology, previously tested at the Club World Cup, offers a view from the referee's perspective. The camera, weighing just 6 grams, will be integrated into the referee's microphone and will be used during warm-ups, match moments such as free kicks, and for spectacular replays.

The footage will be available to television production and also as an isolated signal for VAR. Serie A is among the first leagues in Europe to apply this technology.

The League's objective is to offer a more immersive experience for viewers and greater transparency for referee decisions. This step is considered part of the ongoing process of technological innovation in Italian football.
