The football tournament in the Presheva Valley ended yesterday evening, successfully finalizing an activity fully supported by the Football Federation. The final matches were closely followed by the President of the Federation, Armand Duka, who also had a very friendly conversation with the children participating in the tournament.

After the ceremony of awarding medals and cups to the winners, President Duka gave a brief statement to the media present at the tournament.

The head of the Albanian football government indicated that the first visit to the Presheva Valley was quite exciting and that the goal of this tournament is to promote football and motivate children to play football.

He thanked the organizers for their cooperation, as well as the mayors of Bujanovac and Presevo, and said that there may be new projects in the future.

Visit to Presheva – It is a pleasure and an emotion for me to be here today. The goal of the Albanian Football Federation, its objective is to motivate children wherever they live to play football. This tournament is outside the state borders of Albania, it has its own specifics, but it has no political purpose other than to promote football.

Football has only one language, that of sport, of the ball, of the goal and respect for friends, opponents, the game and oneself. Through the game we want to create bridges of communication, messages of peace and cooperation and to educate our children as best as possible wherever they live.

I would like to thank the initiators and organizers, the AHF staff who collaborated to make it as good as possible, the mayors of Bujanovac and Preševo for their commitment and support. I can consider this the beginning of a new organization.

In the conversations we have had with all football stakeholders in the Valley, we will create new collaborative projects to be as close as possible to children, talents, and to make their sporting lives as good as possible.

Discussions with the mayors of Preševo and Bujanovac – I thank the mayors and their staff for the hospitality. Even in the meetings we had, I emphasized that we are not here as state representatives, we are here as representatives of football and that in cooperation with everyone we create as much as possible the best conditions for playing football.

And I believe that we will build sustainable projects for the future.

Children's demands - The wishes are known, to have a better infrastructure. What can we do to support them? I believe that we will create a lasting relationship with the sports community here not only for infrastructure, but also to educate coaches, for support with sports uniforms and balls.
