There are no more doubts about Granit Xhaka's future. The midfielder of Albanian origin will continue his career in the Premier League.
Sunderland, a newly promoted club, has closed the deal with Leverkusen for the transfer of the Switzerland captain.
The German club will receive 20 million euros, while Xhaka will sign a two-year contract with the English club, until 2027.
The 32-year-old was highly talked about in the transfer market, being linked with clubs such as Milan, Inter and Juventus, but has chosen to return to England.
Xhaka knows the championship well, having previously played there with Arsenal before moving to Leverkusen in 2023.
