Lukaku avoids surgery, here's how long he will miss

Romelu Lukaku suffered a serious muscle injury in his left thigh during the friendly against Olympiakos.

After visits to Belgium, Napoli and the player have decided not to undergo surgery, but to pursue conservative therapy.

The recovery will take around three to four months, which excludes the Belgian striker from Napoli's Champions League squad. However, the club has decided to keep a place open for a new reinforcement in the attacking department.

In a message on social media, Lukaku said he was feeling well and would remain positive, despite the situation. He thanked the fans for their support, stressing that injuries are part of football.

The footballer has already begun recovery therapy, with the aim of returning to the field in the second half of the season.
