Qualifiers close with "drama, pots are set. Albania and Kosovo learn their opponents

The final qualifying matches for the European zone for the 2026 World Cup have concluded, determining the teams that qualify directly and those that go to the play-offs.

Austria drew 1-1 with Bosnia and Herzegovina and finished Group H in first place with 19 points, while Bosnia, with 17 points, goes to the play-offs.

Belgium won 7-0 against Liechtenstein and secured first place in Group J with 18 points, while Wales, after a 7-1 victory over North Macedonia, qualified for the play-offs.

In Sevilla, Spain drew 2-2 with Turkey, earning direct qualification, while Turkey will play in the play-offs.

In Glasgow, Scotland won 4-2 against Denmark in a match that saw the Danes play a man down for around 30 minutes. Two goals in extra time secured Scotland's place in the World Cup, while Denmark ended up in the play-offs.

The pots have already been divided, where Albania and Kosovo have learned their potential opponents.

The teams in pot 1 will face the teams in pot 4.

The teams in Pot 3, which includes Albania and Kosovo, will face those in Pot 2.
