Albania ends Euro U-17 qualifiers with loss

The U-17 national team played the third and final match in the first round of the 2026 European Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan today.

The match, held at "SRP Trate Nedelisce", was won by Kazakhstan U-17 with a score of 2-1.

Coach Fatjon Tafaj started the match with this starting lineup: Simon Lleshi (GK), Kostantinos Varesi (C), Xhoel Mezani, Dennis Pierro, Petro Marku, Dion Vata, Kledi Qosja, Mattias Allasufi, Armend Muslika, Frensi Mali, Sokol Uldedaj.

Kazakhstan U-17 opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a goal from Chernomorets striker. The first half ended 1-0.

In the second half, Kazakhstan U-17 found the net again in the 58th minute with Zhilkaidar, bringing the score to 2-0.

Despite the result, for most of the match the U-17 National Team was in control of the game and created several good chances. From the 76th minute, Albania was left with 10 players after striker Himallari was sent off.

The Reds did not give up and at the end of the match in extra time they scored a goal with Armend Muslika, however nothing changed and the match ended with a 2-1 victory for Kazakhstan U-17.
