Italian club tempt Sterling, striker heading to Serie A

Napoli's transfer market may not be closed yet, with one possibility coming from the list of free agents.

Raheem Sterling, who has left Chelsea, is looking for a new team to continue his career.

English media report that there have been preliminary contacts between Napoli and the English striker. Sterling would be willing to lower his financial demands in order to find a deal.

A favoring factor could also be his friendship with Kevin De Bruyne, with whom he played for seven years at Manchester City.

Salary remains the main obstacle for the Italian club. At Chelsea, Sterling earned around 19 million euros per season, an unaffordable figure for Napoli. In the event of a significant reduction in salary, the track could be reopened.
