Partizan's 80th anniversary, President Demi: I kept my promise, the state

Partizan celebrated the 80th anniversary of its creation, an important anniversary in the history of Albanian football.

On this occasion, the club's president, Gazment Demi, gave a speech before representatives of sports and state institutions and the extended red family.

In his speech, Demi focused on the club's historical journey and the developments of the last decade. He highlighted the realization of the stadium and sports complex project as a key step for the future of Partizan.

The role of the family, institutional partners and the Albanian Football Federation in this process was also emphasized. The issue of the need for more structured state support for sport through sponsorship policies was also raised.

President Demi's speech:

Honorable friends of the Partizani Football Club, honorable leaders of the Albanian Football Federation, honorable representatives of the government and parliament, honorable members of the great Partizani family.

Today is a special day for our club, because we celebrate 80 years of pride, 80 years of sacrifice, but also a lot of love and emotion for a legendary club of Albanian football. Partizan is not just a football club; it is an identity, a tradition, it is a name that has been built by entire generations of athletes, coaches and managers. But this anniversary is quite special. 10 years ago, when we celebrated our 70th anniversary at the Palace of Congresses, I made a promise: very soon we would have our own home. Today, this promise has become a reality. Today, the Partizan Club has a modern stadium, a hotel with 48 rooms and a 5-star standard, and it is not in vain that we held the celebration for this anniversary at our home. The project is not yet complete, but with the green light given by the Albanian Government to turn those shacks you saw when you entered the complex into football fields for raising children, I think that very soon this complex will take its final form and will be an important destination for sports life, not only for the city, but also for the region.

Everyone knows that I, at Partizan, have found only a logo and some debts, and undoubtedly a lot of history, but such works require sacrifice to be built from the beginning. Therefore, I want to highlight the contribution of the Demi family, who has supported me from the very beginning, the unconditional help of the Gjoka family, the important partnership of the Albanian Football Federation and, of course, the government, thanks to which Partizan finally has its own facilities, where it can develop and educate generations. Today, at the Partizan Club, there are a full 11 football teams that develop their activity, two of them are girls' football teams. The Partizan Academy has become a source for national teams. But, taking advantage of the opportunity that we also have politicians present, I want to emphasize that these football schools cannot be developed while we, as businessmen, are alone in this initiative. The state must create the conditions for business to turn its attention to sport. The Sponsorship Law has not yet become a reality. Kosovo is also ahead of us. To build a development strategy, we must come together: business - government - federation, so that those of us who invest in sports are not called crazy.

Anyway, let's celebrate today and I invite you all to enjoy tonight in our new home.
