Kante to Fenerbahçe, Erdogan also helped

Fenerbahçe has formalized the transfer of N'Golo Kanté from Al-Ittihad, after a process that lasted until late hours.

The deal was blocked due to a technical error by Al-Ittihad in FIFA's TMS system. After the documentation was corrected, FIFA immediately approved the transfer.

The Turkish club publicly thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his support during the deal. Fenerbahçe president Sadettin Saran described the transfer as an important step for the club and Turkish football.

The statement also highlighted the role of the fans throughout the process. Fenerbahçe called on supporters to stand by the team in the new season. Kante is expected to play an important role in the team's midfield.
