Tributes in honor of Ismet Bellova, Duka: His voice made Albanian football part of every family

The Albanian football community today bid farewell to Professor Ismet Bellova, the prominent commentator on Radio Tirana and one of the most respected figures in Albanian sports and journalism.

The tributes organized in the RTSH lobby were attended by the President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, the Vice President of the Albanian Football Federation, Lutfi Nuri, and the Secretary General of the Albanian Football Federation, Ilir Shulku. After expressing condolences to the family, friends and relatives of Ismet Bellova, President Duka gave a statement to the media, where he highly praised the figure and extraordinary contribution of Professor Bellova to Albanian sport.

"Today, unfortunately, we bid farewell to Professor Ismet Bellova, a prominent journalist and commentator on the Albanian microphone. Professor Ismet's characteristic voice has brought Albanian football to every Albanian family, to every person who is passionate about football, for decades and decades. He has performed his service in the most perfect way, not only for the radio, for the commentary, but also for football.

The professor's voice, his contribution, has also been a school for all those who have followed him and will remain, as you said, an emblematic voice and for many, perhaps even for me, the best and most special for the Albanian microphone. Today, on this day of mourning, I want to express my condolences, on behalf of the Albanian Football Federation and the entire Albanian football community, to the family of Professor Ismet, his friends and all his acquaintances. May Professor Ismet rest in peace! - said President Duka.
