The incredible story of English fans: We were looking for beer, we ended up with lions (VIDEO)

A group of England fans, who were looking for beers in Qatar (a country where alcohol consumption is banned), explained to talkSPORT what could be one of the strangest stories of this World Cup.

Alex Sullivan, an Everton fan who traveled to Qatar to support England during the World Cup, told talkSPORT that “we were having a good time, having fun, when we met one of the sheikh's sons. He took us to the palace… and showed us what was there: lions, different birds, everything… We were told that we were welcome and if you look around, you won't find better.”

Another English fan said: "We were hunting for some beers and they said: 'We'll have as many beers as you want.' So we jumped into the back of a Toyota Land Cruiser and ended up in a grand mansion. He showed us his monkeys, exotic birds… It was crazy!
