The Albanian Football Federation inspects the First Division stadiums

The Football Federation continues the process of evaluating First Category stadiums, in order to improve infrastructure conditions, television broadcasting and the implementation of the VAR system from the 2026/2027 season.

In this context, the Licensing Department at the Albanian Football Association, in collaboration with relevant experts, has conducted inspection visits to several stadiums in the country, specifically at "Redi Maloku" in Fushë-Krujë, "Besëlidhja" in Lezha, "Sopoti" in Librazhd, "Korabi" in Peshkopi, "Liri Ballabani" in Burrel and "Oriku" in Orikum.

The purpose of these inspections is to assess the current state of the facilities and identify the interventions necessary to meet licensing criteria, with the aim of holding matches under better organizational and technical conditions.

During the inspections, elements such as the playing field, locker rooms, functional facilities, conditions for spectators, security, as well as the necessary infrastructure for television broadcasting and the VAR system were evaluated.

Field assessments have identified several necessary interventions, mainly related to the construction or adaptation of broadcasting platforms, the creation of spaces for the VAR system, the improvement of dedicated electrical infrastructure, and the increase of organizational standards in stadiums.

The Albanian Football Association (AFH) has forwarded the relevant reports with the necessary findings and recommendations to clubs and stadium administrators, in order for interventions to be planned and implemented in time before the start of the new season.

This process is part of the AFF's commitment to raising competition standards and improving football infrastructure at all levels.
