FIFA awards record amount, clubs benefiting from Superliga revealed

FIFA has decided to distribute a record amount of $355 million for the first time to clubs contributing players to the 2026 World Cup.

The decision was made public by FIFA president Gianni Infantino, who stressed the importance of partnership with clubs and the European Club Association. The amount will be distributed not only to players who participate in the final stage, but also to those who play in the qualifiers.

From Albania, several teams from the Superiore have benefited, including Egnatia, Dinamo, Elbasani, Vllaznia, Bylis and Vora. Names like Dajsinani and Aliji have been included in the Albanian National Team, while Zabërgja was part of it earlier.

Also, Kristian Dros has played with Moldova, while Abubakar Kamara has played with the Niger national team. This decision is expected to bring direct financial support to Albanian clubs that have players engaged with the national teams.
