Sensational/ Albania-Kosovo friendly planned

Albania and Kosovo could face off again in a friendly match during June.

The two federations, the Albanian Football Federation (AFHF) and the Albanian Football Confederation (FFK), are in discussions about organizing this meeting in one of the international windows before the 2026 World Cup.

Both teams were eliminated from the tournament and this friendly would serve as a test for the teams. So far, 3 matches have been played between them, with an equal balance: 1 win each and 1 draw.

The first match on November 13, 2015 ended 2-2, with goals from Celina and Rashani for Kosovo, while Manaj and Rrahmani for Albania.

On 29 May 2018, Kosovo won 0-3 with two goals from Zeneli and one from Zhegrova. The last meeting on 11 November 2020 ended 2-1 for Albania, with goals from Balaj and Uzun, while Muriqi scored for Kosovo.
