FIFA Rankings/ Albania falls, record climb for Kosovo

The national teams concluded their final matches for the World Cup, with some achieving their goals and others falling short.

Tuesday's matches provided the final verdicts, but the development of the friendlies also had an impact on the FIFA rankings.

Albania dropped one place and is now ranked 64th with 1388.06 points, losing 3.58 points. Kosovo climbed to 78th with 1318.83 points, despite losing in the play-off final to Turkey, losing 6.60 points. This is the highest position for Kosovo since its admission to FIFA.

France took first place after a 3-1 victory over Colombia in a friendly. Spain dropped to second place after a 0-0 draw with Egypt. Argentina holds third place, followed by England, Portugal and Brazil.

Italy climbed to 12th place, despite being eliminated by Bosnia in the play-offs.
