Study: Wine drinkers have lower heart risk than other alcohol consumers

A large study of over 340,000 adults in the UK finds that the type of alcohol matters, not just the amount.

Wine drinkers, in moderate amounts, had about a 21% lower risk of dying from heart disease. While beer and spirits, even in small or moderate amounts, were associated with a higher mortality risk, about +9%.
