Election of the People's Advocate/Balla: We support the opposition candidates

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has made a statement to the media regarding the candidacy of the People's Advocate.

Balla announced that the majority will support one of the candidacies presented by the opposition.

The socialist said that the best solution in this situation is for the majority to support one of the candidacies proposed by the DP.

"We will look at the submitted candidacies and see who we will support. Parliament will choose the candidacy that receives 84 votes or more."

I believe that the best possible thing under these conditions is for us to withdraw from the proposal and vote for one of the opposition candidates.

I hope that the DP will support the candidates in the plenary session as well.

"The MPs who have signed the candidacies should stand by their signature. I want the Assembly to elect a People's Advocate proposed by the opposition and supported by the majority ," Balla said./CNA
