"DP in a paralyzed state"/ Political scientist Krasniqi: A way out is

Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi analyzed the opposition situation today, stating that the Democratic Party in Albania is in a paralyzed state.

Invited to A2 CNN, Krasniqi stated that one of the ways out is to lead for a one-year period without including figures like the historic leader Sali Berisha at the top.

According to Krasniqi, proper analyses of the opposition's political positions are not being conducted within the DP, but only routine meetings.

"There is a way out for the opposition: dialogue, collegial and consensual leadership for a period of one year, without including figures like Sali Berisha or others who are considered historical leaders of the DP at the top. Reunification in September-October and programmatic reform with a Western approach remain a necessity, as well as the creation of a joint list of candidates with over a third of new arrivals, the only way to restore the rejection and liberal vote in the country. The DP is in a paralyzed state, where the two fundamental bodies, the National Council and the parliamentary group, do not exercise any function. He emphasized that these two structures should determine the opposition's political positions on elections, justice reform, international relations, internal democracy and the fight against corruption, but today they are "out of the game". Parties invent new topics, organize routine meetings and talk about analyses that are not actually done. In the districts there are only speeches and improvisations. Today's opposition leaders belong to another category: "the part of millionaires of "Albania", who are comfortable with transition and loss, with no interest in real change", said Krasniqi. /CNA
