"They didn't let us talk about the eco park"/ Teliti accuses:

The Deputy Mayor of Tirana Municipal Council, Dorian Teliti, made a statement to the media after the meeting held today.

In his speech, Teliti accused the Socialist councilors, who he said closed the meeting as soon as it was the opposition's turn to speak.

The Democrat said that the request to establish a budget control commission was again rejected.

Teliti announced that tomorrow lawsuits will be filed with the Constitutional and Administrative Courts for the non-respect of the rights of the opposition in Tirana Municipal Council meetings.

 

"A council that does not allow opposition councilors to express themselves. It has turned into a gang, that at the first moment they ask to speak, opposition councilors raise the card and close the issue. They did not let us talk about the Tirana eco park. They did not want to raise concerns about taxes, the reduction of the fiscal burden. They did not want to hear about the bankruptcies that are happening in Tirana's business. The citizens of Tirana continue to suffer the obvious deterioration of their living conditions. They closed the meeting as soon as it was the turn of the opposition councilors to speak about their concerns. We listened to them for 2 full hours and when our time came, they closed the meeting in clear violation of the law and regulations. They can do whatever they want, but there are no more negotiations to respect rights. Starting tomorrow, we will address the Constitutional and Administrative Courts. The establishment of the budget control commission was rejected again, because they are afraid, they know that "They are immersed in clientelistic affairs ," said Teliti.
