"It's not a gang thing"/ Shehi: DP has lost a historic chance,

Former LZHK chairman Dashamir Shehi spoke in a television studio about the situation of the opposition and the majority. Shehi said that they have been in opposition for 13 years and that there is really no emergency for this, except for the emergency that poor citizens have.

Further, Shehi said that in 2019, the Democratic Party missed a historic opportunity and is now in a vortex that other opposition parties want to enter.

Shehi stated that cooperation in the opposition is not a chore and victory comes from the citizens, not from those supporters who stay in the Democratic Party's courtyard.

The former head of the LZHK said that apparently citizens do not have much hope in the DP, as a political project is needed to reach the people, regardless of whether the majority approves that project or not.

 

"There is no emergency of any kind, Rama-Berisha. We have been living in an emergency for 13 years, in the opposition. The emergency is that poor guy over there who is unemployed."

For the internal emergencies of the DP, a historic opportunity was lost in 2019. The DP has been in an emergency for 4 years, until January 8. In this kind of vortex, you say, "Come on, we are the majority." This is not a joke. When the elections come, those in the courtyard don't vote, the citizens vote. Apparently, the citizens don't have much hope, otherwise they would have filled the streets.

It becomes a political project, where it starts. It starts with the amendment of the Constitution, the SP may never vote for it, but you as the opposition should do your part. 15 municipalities have turned into party committees that the party mobilizes with state money, which can be seen by how many votes they bring in," said Shehi./CNA
