Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a statement on his social media this morning, spoke about the reaction of the Judges' Association to the increase in the latter's salaries. Rama stated that judges' salaries cannot be increased overnight, as, according to him, it is a process that must be done step by step.

While sharply criticizing the statement of the Judges' Association, the Prime Minister says that what he calls "falsehoods" also call into question the way judges reason. Among other things, he adds that judges cannot behave like a political party and "throw mud at the country's government."

You went to the Constitutional Court to tell the Albanian people that even those bloodthirsty judges deserve a salary increase. This government has given independence to the power that you must do everything to exercise with dignity today. You should be the first to worry about equality before the law.
