Democratic MP Bujar Leskaj focused today on several issues that connect the country with Kosovo, such as the Durrës-Pristina railway project, during discussions in the Assembly.

In his speech, Leskaj criticized that even though 10 months have passed since the presentation of the project, no significant steps have been taken for this transport network, which, according to him, has an impact not only nationally, but also on regional economic development.

"Our government has done little, if anything, towards carrying out at least a feasibility study for this route. The Durrës-Pristina railway, of extraordinary national importance and regional economic development. 10 months have passed since the presentation and we still have no significant development for this railway. The first to speak about this project was the historic president of Kosovo, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, from the beginning of the '90s.
