Termination of cooperation with "Hanns-Seidel"/ Gogu: The German

The Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Tonin Gogu, took the floor in the Assembly on the draft law "On the denunciation of the cooperation agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Hanns-Seidel Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany".

Gogu said that the German foundation has requested the conclusion of this agreement and therefore also requests the approval of the Parliament. The Minister further stated that “Hanns-Seidel” has assisted Albania in the first stages of transition and NATO membership.

"The Albanian government has been informed by the president of the foundation about the conclusion of this agreement that has helped us strengthen the legal and democratic state. The moment we are informed of the conclusion with immediate notification, we come to obtain approval in the Assembly.

"The assistance from Hanns-Seidel in these 30 years has been found in the establishment of institutions and support of the administration, in the justice sector, cooperation with municipal associations and cooperation between the two police forces, especially with the state of Bavaria. The foundation has helped Albania in the first stages of transition and NATO membership ," said Gogu. /CNA
