Release of protesters/Këlliçi: State Police continues to behave like

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted to the release of protesters arrested on December 22.

Through a post on social media, Këlliçi writes that the court confirmed their illegal arrest.

Këlliçi said that the State Police continues to behave like political police that resembles a criminal group.

The Democrat called on all Albanians to participate en masse in the protests organized by the Democratic Party.

The Tirana court only confirmed what the Democratic Party had said all along: the arrests of protesters were illegal, completely political, and unfounded.

The State Police continues to behave like political police, deeply unprofessional and resembling a Structured Criminal Group.

I call on the State Police to rise to the occasion, to guarantee the democratic constitutional rights of citizens, and to break away from the neo-dictatorial and patronage mentality.

At the same time, I call on all honest Albanians to participate massively and decisively in the civic protests organized by the Democratic Party!
