"I turn my back"/ Gonzato responds to Berisha

The European Union Ambassador Silvio Gonzato has responded to the accusations of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha. Gonzato said that in the face of these accusations he will turn the page as he considers them harmless.

Gonzato stated that what concerns him is the fact that it was implied that his personal choices were attempted to be distorted as influencing his work as ambassador.

" I have communication channels with the entire opposition, especially the chairmen of the committees, especially those of the media. The media is the fundamental chapter group and the fundamental ones are the last to be closed."

"I know there has been a lot of talk about this, it's time for me to turn the page, I would consider the statements as simply harmless, I don't have to justify any of my choices. What worries me is that it was implied that personal choices were influencing my decisions as ambassador. I am happy that Commissioner Kos said she had confidence in my work ," Gonzato declared./ CNA
