"We will go back a century"/ Spaho-Rama: Resigning is the greatest

Former Democratic MP, Edmond Spaho, has reacted again regarding the citizen protests against the government, through which the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama is being demanded.

Through a post on social media, Spaho addresses Rama directly, stating that he has done a lot of damage to Albanians, however, he argues that the greatest damage would be if the prime minister were to resign.

According to Spaho, the sole aim of the protests that have been taking place in the country for about a month is to set the country back a century.

This is not a protest to lick and bite honest girls and boys on the boulevard.

You have done endless harm to this people. In a country with a democratically formed society, you would have left long ago.

The greatest damage you would do to this country is not your past, but if you were to flee from the pressure of this neo-Marxist, Islamist-fundamentalist, anti-Trumpist protest, divisive among Albanians in the region and against Albania's integration into the EU.

Remember that the damage you will do to the country, by leaving it in the hands of those who want to choose the government by lot and political hyenas who are waiting to catch whatever they can, will be such that you will not escape responsibility even when you are no longer in this world.

Since you're talking about sincerity on the boulevard, remember the nightmares of Kadare's character in The Winter of the Great Solitude.

If you give up, don't be surprised that one day your bones may be dragged down the boulevard like in that "reactionary's" dreams.
