The Albanian government today approved the indexation of pensions for 2026 by 2.7%.
As stated by the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, after the end of the government meeting, this is a change that will begin to be applied on July 1.
Ibrahimaj added that this concerns old-age pensions and special pensions, a change from which around 900 thousand people benefit.
"Today we approved the pension indexation for 2026. As of July 1, 2026, we will index pensions by 2.7%, old-age pensions and special pensions or even maternity benefits are about 900 thousand beneficiaries," Ibrahimaj said. /CNA
