From border verification rules, to IQMT and Dhërmi/ New government

The Council of Ministers held its next meeting this Friday and approved several decisions in several important areas. 

Based on the DCM, the following decisions were adopted:

-Some changes to decision no. 31, dated 21.1.2026, of the Council of Ministers, “On the approval of the Expenditure Plan for 2026 of the Regulatory Entity of the Water Supply, Wastewater Disposal and Treatment Sector (WWDS)”.

-Determining the rules for conducting joint border checks.

-Approval of the National Action Plan for Equality, Inclusion and Participation of Roma and Egyptians in the Republic of Albania (2026 - 2030)

-Establishment, organization and functioning of the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate.

-Determining the procedures and deadlines for the suspension or revocation of the “Online Sports Betting” gambling license

-Administration and use of the Special Fund created by gambling activities.

-Use of the Reconstruction Fund to finance the drafting of rehabilitation/adaptation intervention projects for the necessary structural interventions for buildings with a DS4 damage level in the Kurbin Municipality.

-The use of the Reconstruction Fund to finance the reconstruction of individual housing units in the municipalities of Kurbin and Lezha.

-Declaration of the "Historical Center" of the village of Dhërmi as an Immovable Cultural Property, determination of the protective zone and approval of the plan for its preservation, protection and administration. /CNA
