The wolf does not vote.

Wolves, these proud beasts of the forest, never allow an idiot to lead them. In every pack, on every mountain, in every season, a wolf is a wolf: wild, wise, free. If the leader is worthless, there is no need for protests, nor for petitions. He knows when to retreat, and if he doesn't, those who have followed him will.

But with people it is different. With the people it is completely different… This mystical creature endures everything: winter, summer, promises, disappointments, and most of all… idiots.
It doesn't matter if the shepherd has a degree, if he has milk in the can, if he knows how to count the sheep he has, if the sheep are increasing or decreasing, it is enough to have the stick in his hand and… the people walk.

The shepherd only has to wave his stick and the people march. Under the sun, under the rain, with boots, without boots, always forward... towards the abyss, but with style.

The wolves, sensing that their leader doesn't know where his tail is, no longer follow him. They eat him alive.
The people are different. The people vote, applaud, raise him to the sky, like him, give him mandate after mandate.

Do we change the leader?
No, we'd rather change the continent we live on!
Do we demand accountability?
We'd rather seek asylum.
Do we raise our voices?
No, we need our voices to shout at rallies.

The wolf does not need an election. He either leads well or does not lead at all. It is the people who have the great privilege of election… and they choose to submit!

And here we are: a pack that no longer seeks the wolf that leads them, but the shepherd who mocks them so much.
So, the next time you use the word “animal” to insult someone… be careful: you are not insulting them, but complimenting them.
