The wolf does not vote.

Wolves, these proud beasts of the forest, never allow an idiot to lead them. In every pack, on every mountain, in every season, a wolf is a wolf: wild, wise, free. If the leader is worthless, there is no need for protests, nor for petitions. He knows when to retreat, and if he doesn't, those who have followed him will.

But with people it's different. With the people it's completely different... This mystical creature endures everything: winter, summer, promises, disappointments, and most of all... idiots.

It doesn't matter if the shepherd has a degree, if he has milk in the jug, if he knows how to count the sheep he has, whether the number of sheep is increasing or decreasing, it's enough to have the stick in his hand and... the people walk.

The shepherd only has to wave his stick and the people march. Under the sun, under the rain, with boots, without boots, always forward... towards the abyss, but with style.

The wolves, sensing that their leader doesn't know where his tail is, stop chasing him. They eat him alive.

The people are different. The people vote, applaud, raise it to the sky, like it, give it mandate after mandate.

Do we change the leader?

No, we'd better change the continent we live on!

Do we demand an account?

We'd better seek asylum.

Should we raise our voices?

No, we need a voice to cheer at rallies.

The wolf does not need an election. He either leads well or does not lead at all. It is the people who have the great privilege of election… and they choose to submit!

And here we are: a flock that no longer seeks the wolf that leads them, but the shepherd that mocks them so much.

So, the next time you use the word "animal" to insult someone... be careful: you're not insulting them, but complimenting them.

Animals don't vote for the useless. That is our privilege alone.
