How to improve your relationships with others/ 8 tips from a well-known psychotherapist

A psychotherapist and relationship expert has revealed eight hard truths that will "improve your life", even if they're hard to hear.

Todd Baratz, who lives in New York and is a certified mental health counselor, argues that many of the problems his clients face are either self-inflicted or perpetuated.

He says he has noticed that his clients often unconsciously "seek out pain and suffering" because of trauma or experiences they carry from childhood.

3. Jo të gjitha nevojat tuaja duhet të plotësohen nga partneri juaj.

4. Ndaloni së tepërmi të analizoni njerëzit e tjerë. Përqendrohuni nëse dhe pse ju pëlqejnë ato.

5. Vendosni kufij. Nëse kufijtë tuaj shkelen vazhdimisht, jeni ju që e lejoni atë, jo të tjerët.

6. Let go of the Disney fantasy - stop looking for the 'one truth'.

7. Stop living in denial. Admit that you care about the things that affect you.
