Prostitution "nest" discovered in Durrës/ Two Brazilian citizens

An environment adapted for the practice of prostitution and the distribution of narcotics has been discovered in the city of Durrës. Two Brazilian citizens have been arrested in connection with this, while the owner of the environment and another citizen have been prosecuted.

During the operation, 2 passports of foreign citizens, sums of money, 8 mobile phones, a DVR, phone cards, 2 notepads, as well as 2 small quantities of narcotics suspected of being cannabis were seized as material evidence.

Successive operations continue to crack down on criminal activity in the field of prostitution and drug distribution.

The police operation codenamed "Storm 15" is finalized.

The operation was finalized by the Traffic Investigation Section, in cooperation with the operational services of the Durrës Police Department, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, after a 2-week investigation using special investigative methods.

They had rented two premises which they had adapted for the practice of prostitution.

2 Brazilian citizens are arrested.

The owner of the premises, as well as a citizen, are being prosecuted for prostitution.

The Traffic Investigation Section, in cooperation with the operational services of the Durrës DVP, after a 2-week investigation with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecution, finalized the 15th phase of the police operation codenamed "Storm".

As a result of the operation, citizens NP, 26 years old, and MB, 39 years old, born and residing in Brazil, were arrested in flagrante delicto, suspected of the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics", "Prostitution" and "Adaptation of premises for prostitution".

Following the procedural actions, a 22-year-old citizen, resident of Durrës, was proceeded against at large for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".

The owner of the premises, citizen FT, 30 years old, resident of Fushë-Krujë, was also prosecuted at large for the criminal offense of "Adapting premises for prostitution".

During the operation, 2 passports of foreign citizens, sums of money, 8 mobile phones, a DVR, phone cards, 2 notepads, as well as 2 small quantities of narcotics suspected of being cannabis were seized as material evidence.

The investigative actions revealed that the arrested citizens had rented two premises on "Dalip Peza" street, neighborhood no. 17, Durrës, which they had adapted for the practice of prostitution.

During the intervention of the Police services, one of the foreign citizens refused to open the door of the room where she was located, which was later opened with the help of the fire department.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action. / CNA
