A citizen handed over a bag of money containing the sum of 17 thousand euros to the Saranda police station.

The citizen R.Dh. had found the lost bag, which, according to the police, belonged to the Ukrainian citizen LK.

Police announcement:

An example of honesty and civic values. An honest civic gesture has made it possible to return a considerable amount of money and lost documents to their owner.

Yesterday, citizen R. Sh., showing high integrity and civic responsibility, found a lost bag and immediately went to the Saranda Police Station to hand it over.

Inside the bag were the personal documents of Ukrainian citizen LK, as well as a monetary sum of $17,000.

Thanks to this exemplary action and the immediate and professional response of the Saranda Police services, it became possible to identify and contact citizen LK, to whom the documents and the amount of money were delivered today.

This case constitutes a significant example of civic honesty and responsibility, as well as of reliable cooperation between citizens and the Police, which contributes to strengthening security and trust in the community.

The State Police thanks citizen R. Sh. for his honest and civic action, appreciating this gesture as an example of values ??that deserve to be promoted and followed by all. /CNA
