Falsification and abuse of office/ 5 security measures are executed, including

Tirana Police have finalized the operation codenamed "Contracts", as part of investigations into document forgery and abuse of office, by executing security measures against 5 citizens.

According to the official announcement, specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecution Office, have implemented the decision of the Tirana Court dated March 3, 2026.

As part of this operation:

-A "prison arrest" measure has been imposed on citizen DB, 45 years old, suspected of the criminal offense of "Forgery of documents".

-A "House arrest" measure has been imposed on citizen I. Ç., 59 years old, for the same criminal offense.

Meanwhile, citizens BS, 49 years old, FZ, 35 years old and Th. L., 41 years old, employees of the State Cadastre Agency, have been sentenced to the measure "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service", for the criminal offense "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration.

The investigations suspect that citizens DB and I. Ç., in collaboration with three Cadastral employees, have illegally obtained a land area of ??2350 m² in the village of Mëzez, which turned out to be owned by another citizen, through falsification of documents.

The court has also imposed a preventive seizure on this property, pending the conclusion of the investigations./ CNA
