Powerful explosion in Lezha/ Businesses and vehicles damaged

A powerful explosion occurred in Lezha late Sunday. The incident occurred in the "Besëlidhja" neighborhood, near a business.

The powerful explosion also caused damage to buildings near the business as well as other businesses.

According to preliminary information, it is suspected that the explosion occurred as a result of a gas cylinder, but investigations are continuing to clarify the causes of the incident.

"As a result, material damage was caused to the premises, the windows of 3 vehicles parked next to it were damaged, and external damage was found in two adjacent businesses. The investigation group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is at the scene and is intensively continuing actions to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the explosion, as well as to fully document the case legally," the official announcement states./ CNA
