With 7 kg of cocaine ready for sale/ 44-year-old Albanian ends up in handcuffs in Italy

A 44-year-old Albanian man has been arrested in the municipality of Preganziol in Italy after being caught with 7 kilograms of cocaine.

According to Italian media reports, the Albanian was stopped for a routine check by Treviso police officers, while his contradictory answers led to a detailed search of his vehicle.

During the searches, officers found a backpack containing 14 half-kilogram packages of cocaine, ready to be sold. Verifications at the police station confirmed that the cocaine was of high quality, with a market value of hundreds of thousands of euros.

In addition to the drugs, the police seized the 44-year-old's phone, where the analysis of his contacts and messages will serve to identify the suppliers and recipients of the shipment. For the Treviso police, the seized narcotics had a record quantity. /CNA
