Criminal incident prevented in Velipojë/ 47-year-old arrested, firearm

A criminal incident has been prevented in Velipojë by the police. A 47-year-old man with the initials NS was arrested by the police after he physically clashed with a 42-year-old man and was in possession of a firearm.

The 42-year-old was injured in the physical altercation and is receiving treatment in hospital.

During the search of the 47-year-old's apartment, police found and seized as material evidence a firearm, a pistol, that he possessed without a permit.

He had a physical conflict for weak motives with a 42-year-old man in the village of Gomsiqe, and he was in possession of a firearm, a pistol. The 47-year-old was arrested and handcuffed. The pistol was seized.

The 42-year-old man was injured in the physical conflict and is receiving treatment in hospital.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Velipojë Police Station, immediately after receiving the notification that in the village of Gomsiqe, two citizens had conflicted with each other and as a result one of them was injured, organized the work to prevent the escalation of the conflict.

As a result of rapid operational actions, citizen NS, 47 years old, was captured and arrested.

From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen NS had a physical conflict for weak motives with citizen FK, in the village of Gomsiqe. As a result of the conflict, citizen FK was injured, and is receiving treatment at the Shkodra Regional Hospital.

Following the actions, during the search of the apartment of citizen NS, the Police services found and seized as material evidence, a firearm, a pistol, that he possessed without a permit.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action. / CNA
