Pavlin Preka was 19 years old when he was killed in his apartment, on February 26, 2025, in the village of Guci e Re in Shkodër.

He was madly in love with a 13-year-old girl for whom he sought her family's approval to marry.

This Tuesday, details from the investigation file were revealed, where according to information from people close to the victim, during the first search at the scene, 6 9 mm pistol cartridges were found near the victim's body.

From the first examination of the scene, the 19-year-old had been shot with several pistol bullets at close range, upon entering his apartment. Which suggested to the forensic experts that he had been guarded until his arrival at the apartment. Or someone had accurately informed the shooter about the victim's movements and the fact that he had made his way to his house. But for the investigative group, the murder of this young man had an unclear motive.

This is because he was not registered and had no criminal past or present. He was not even known in the area as a contingent involved in the cultivation of narcotics. The first person to be questioned about the crime was the victim's uncle.

Nikollë Preka, who had the apartment next to his brother's, where Pavlini currently lived. Where, when he heard the explosions, he was the first to run to see what had happened. And where he found his nephew murdered on the doorstep.

"Pavlin's family lives in the village of Gjuraj-Plan, in the Pult Administrative Unit, Shkodra Municipality. I have the apartment next to Pavlin's. When I went to see who was in the apartment, I saw that the door was open. There I saw Pavlin lying on the ground," the victim's uncle told the police.

But even though he was asked to give up the girl he loved, Pavlin Preka, it seems, not only did not do so, but he had also built plans in his head on how to make her his forever. This was against the wishes of her family.

Perhaps with the conviction that time would be the best medicine and situations would come and normalize, once he had made his relationship with the girl a fait accompli.

But Pavlini was so obsessed with this girl that he even went so far as to tattoo her name on his neck. Something that even his friends knew about. Among them were the girl's cousins, with whom he socialized.

"From what I know, Pavlini loved a girl named 'A*****', whose last name I don't know, but Pavlini had her name tattooed on her neck. As far as I remember, Pavlini told me that he had seen this girl in Dukagjin, this is because his family also has a house there, but they live in Shkodra. Pavlini also told me that he had asked this girl for her hand in marriage at her house, but they did not give it to him. What I want to say is that one day, together with Pavlini and a friend of his called Flori, but whose last name I do not remember, we were at a house that my family has in the village of Gimaj in Dukagjin. While we were there, Pavlini told me 'Leave this house for me for 2-3 days because I will take that girl, and come and stay at your house'. But I cut him off and told him that I would not leave her," - says the testimony from Edilion Tërthorja.

But Pavlin's madness did not intend to stop there. As one of the friends he was with says, he was looking for an apartment to stay with the girl, after he had kidnapped her. And he did not keep this plan a secret at all. But he also expressed it in the presence of the girl's cousins, with whom he shared his daily life. / In Shënjestër
