Criminal group that committed burglaries in apartments is hit/Three arrested in

Tirana police have cracked down on a criminal group that was committing residential burglaries. As part of the operation codenamed "Strategy", three members of the group have been arrested, all three of whom have previously been convicted of the same crime.

The following announcement states that the group members initially photographed the locks on the apartment doors, and then studied the footage to disassemble the mechanism and enable opening with a universal key.

The investigations suspect that the three arrested persons, on January 7, stole from an apartment on “Don Bosko” Street, on January 10, stole 14,000 euros and valuables from an apartment on “Dritan Hoxha” Street, and yesterday, stole from an apartment on “Don Bosko” Street. The police are working to solve other thefts committed by these individuals.

Three thefts committed by this group during the month of January have been solved. One of the thefts took place yesterday, while 14,000 euros and valuables were stolen from one of the apartments.

The group members initially photographed the locks on the apartment doors. The images were then studied by the group members to disassemble the mechanism and enable opening with a universal key.

As a result of the investigations conducted with the aim of uncovering the thefts and bringing their perpetrators to justice, the Crime Investigation specialists of Police Stations No. 2 and No. 3 finalized the operation codenamed "Strategy", within which citizens AM, 36 years old, ST, 35 years old and GK, 38 years old, were located, arrested and put in handcuffs.

From the investigations, it is suspected that the 3 citizens, organized as a group, on January 7, stole from an apartment on "Don Bosko" Street, on January 10, they stole 14,000 euros and valuables from an apartment on "Dritan Hoxha" Street, and yesterday, they stole from an apartment on "Don Bosko" Street.

Work is underway to uncover other thefts that these citizens may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
