A 41-year-old man has been arrested by the Police after a case of fraud against a 24-year-old woman from Kruja, from whom he took a large sum of money and obtained a loan in her name.
The Crime Investigation Specialists at the Krujë Police Station, immediately after the report made by the young woman, have launched investigative actions to clarify the case and identify the perpetrator. In cooperation with the services of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, it was possible to capture and arrest citizen F. Xh., 41 years old, resident of Durrës, who has been previously convicted of fraud.
Preliminary investigations suspect that on February 9, 2026, the 41-year-old man fraudulently obtained 550,000 lek from the 24-year-old woman. Also, on February 24, 2026, he applied for and obtained a loan in her name from a financial institution.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
