Gambling and illegal weapons for sale/ Seven arrested in Tirana

Tirana Police have finalized two operations to crack down on the organization of gambling.

As a result, 7 people were arrested and weapons, cell phones, and a large amount of money gained from gambling were seized.

Also, the conducted checks found firearms, which were suspected of being possessed with the intention of selling them.

Two operations to crack down on the criminal activity of illegal possession of weapons and the illegal organization of gambling have been finalized in the last 24 hours.    

7 citizens are arrested in flagrante delicto.   

2 firearms, 6 mobile phones and 900,000 lek from gambling were seized.    

As a result of intensive investigative work and controls in various entities, with the aim of identifying and cracking down on criminal activities, the structures of the Tirana DVP finalized 2 operations during the last 24 hours, during which 7 citizens were caught red-handed and put in handcuffs.   

-as part of the "Fair Play" operation, the Specialists of the Cybercrime Investigation Sector arrested citizens LB, 61 years old, B. Ç., 66 years old, AK, 22 years old, FI, 60 years old, IL, 38 years old and AD, 50 years old, after 5 other citizens were caught organizing games of chance with mobile phones in the premises of citizen LB, in Vora. During the search of the premises, 6 mobile phones used for games of chance and 900,000 lek suspected to have been gained from this activity were found.

-as part of the "Next" operation, the Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 4 arrested citizen KM, 25 years old, after on "Myslym Keta" street, during a search of the vehicle he was driving, 2 automatic firearms with ammunition were found, which he is suspected of possessing with the intention of selling.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
