A 21-year-old man has been declared wanted by the police in Lushnja, after he was moving around the city armed. Five young men, friends of the 21-year-old, have also been arrested for failing to report a crime.

It is reported that the police initially located the young man after receiving information that he was carrying a weapon.

When they arrived at the bar where the young man was, the police found his sweatshirt on one of the chairs at the table where the 5 friends of the 21-year-old, MS, were, who himself was not there.

During the searches in the latter's apartment, ammunition for a gun was found.

The services of the Lushnja Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to crack down on the criminal activity of illegal possession of weapons and based on information obtained in the operational field that a citizen was moving with a firearm in the city, and that he was in a bar with several of his friends, organized the work to identify and capture him.

Police services have located the premises, a bar-cafe in the "Xhevdet Nepravishta" neighborhood, where the armed citizen was suspected to be and have intervened to arrest him.

During the intervention, the Police services found a pistol with combat ammunition in the pocket of a sweatshirt, which had been left on one of the chairs at the table where the 5 young people were.

Following the actions, it was possible to identify the person who possessed the sweatshirt and the firearm, specifically citizen MS, 21 years old, resident of Lushnja, who had left a few minutes ago for a barbershop and was about to return.

Following the actions, citizens EK, 20 years old, S. Sh., 24 years old, GM, 21 years old, HT, 20 years old and LS, 22 years old, all residents of Lushnja, were arrested, who were at a table with citizen M. S, and did not indicate who the sweatshirt and weapon belonged to, obstructing the Police in their actions.

Following the actions, during the search of the apartment of citizen M. S, combat ammunition (cartridges) was found.

A pistol-type firearm, combat ammunition, 1 vehicle and 5 mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecution Office for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime", charged against 5 arrested citizens, as well as "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", charged against citizen MS, who was declared wanted. / CNA
