Checks on road axes in Berat/ Around 1 thousand fines for vehicle drivers

The Berat Traffic Police continues monitoring all roads in the district, with the aim of preventing accidents and meeting road safety parameters.

Special attention has been paid to vehicles that circulate with tinted windows, citizens who drive under the influence of alcohol, and those who circulate on motorcycles without protective helmets.

Over the past 2 weeks, 1 citizen has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Also, 2 citizens have been prosecuted for driving without a license.

Furthermore, during this period:

-2 drivers were administratively punished for driving under the influence of alcohol;

-261 drivers have been punished for wrongful overtaking;

-74 drivers have been fined for not wearing seat belts;

-79 motor vehicle drivers have been punished for not wearing protective helmets;

-159 drivers have been fined for speeding above the allowed speed limit;

-276 drivers have been punished for stopping or stopping their vehicle in violation of road signs;

-5 drivers have been fined for using a mobile phone while driving;

-209 drivers have been punished for other violations of the Road Code.
